Community Info Session Re Potential Updates to the Fairfax Towne Center

The Fair Ridge Recreation, Linden, and Fair Ridge Community Associations will be hosting an Information Session regarding potential updates to the Fairfax Towne Center by its owner, DDR.  The session is being held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at 7:00 pm at the Fair Ridge Club House.

DDR is requesting changes to the Fairfax County Comprehensive Plan to permit the revitalization and redevelopment of the existing, aging shopping center as a mixed-use center.  Conceptual plans call for retaining existing retail tenants but also developing additional commercial and residential buildings.  Soon a public comment period will open for residents to provide input on these proposed plan changes.  This Information Session will provide our community with additional background and information.

If you have any questions, please email: brianmazaneclinden@gmail.com

2015 Parking Permit

All residents should be in receipt of their 2015 parking permits. Permits must be displayed by Friday, January 30, 2015. If you are not in receipt, please promptly contact Cardinal Management at (703) 591-1818.

Safety Alert

Thefts from vehicles have been reported within and around our community.  As a precaution, please take a moment and remove any valuables within sight in your vehicle.  Make sure you lock your doors and keep your porch lights on.
As the vacation season fast approaches and you are leaving town, it is suggested you stop any deliveries to include newspapers, boxes, or other items that might be placed in front of your residence.  You may want ask a neighbor to retrieve any items that indicate you are not at home and leave a contact number should any issues arrive.
Finally, we recommend that you follow the adage “if you see something, say something”.  If you see something suspicious, do not hesitate to contact the Fairfax County Police (703) 691-2131.  Let the police investigate and hopefully this will stem the tide of petty thefts and vandalism that plague most suburbs before something more egregious happens.  Have a happy and safe summer!
